Our brilliant Summer 2024 event tour comes courtesy of our member VFA0045 Simon, and is available to fly immediately. It will remain our feature tour throughout Summer 2024. If you have any ideas for great tours then please submit them on our Discord server here (check the pinned post for instructions here). The best tours, as voted for by our Discord server members, will be chosen for inclusion in the airline tour schedule. While you’re there, take a look through the tours already submitted and vote for your favourites by adding a thumbs up reaction.
From the northern tip of Scotland to the southern tip of Africa, this Mammoth GA tour recreates the famous motorcycle trip undertaken by Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boorman.
It has it all - mountains, lush green valleys, urban sprawl, arid desert, Hippos and the movie set of Star Wars. This tour is suited to GA aircraft and has some STOL airfields included. You'll also need to take the altitude of the terrain into account.
You'll visit some airstrips that can truly be described as being in 'the middle of nowhere' as well as some more established airports. I dare you to fly it in a Cessna 152!
