18 Hours In : Frequently Asked Questions
The new airline has been up and running for about 18 hours. Time to address some frequently asked questions!
After a pretty manic first 18 hours in which over a hundred of you have already joined the new airline website, we thought it might be a good opportunity to answer some of the more frequently asked questions that have been posed so far.
Huge thanks go to Craig and Mugs, who have been instrumental in helping build, test, and support the launch of the new website!
Best regards,
Jonathan Beckett

Transfer hours
When registering with the airline you can fill in a “Transfer Hours” field, which adds the stated number of hours to your profile - vaulting you up the rank ladder, and potentially opening up more aircraft types to you as a result.
Fill the “Transfer Hours” field with the approximate number of hours you have filed at other airline(s). Note that the new airline requires more hours per rank than the previous one.
If you forget, start a new topic in the #airline-support channel in Discord, and we’ll help you out.
Registration confirmation emails
When you register with the airline you should receive a confirmation email with a link in it - clicking on the link enables your account.
If you can’t find the email, or suspect it has been blocked by your email provider, start a topic in the #airline-support channel in Discord and we’ll help you out.
Lights warnings in ACARS
Many users have noticed that ACARS often reports erroneous lighting configurations (beacon, strobe, taxi, and landing lights). This is a known problem with Microsoft Flight Simulator - where Asobo have continually moved the goal-posts with the implementation of lighting, and many developers have gone their own route in implementing it.
The long and short of it - for now - ignore the lights warnings in the ACARS leg - we have stopped them from affecting your overall score.
Airline choice influences aircraft displayed
Your user profile lets you name one of several airlines as your “employer” - which filters the aircraft and flights displayed in several areas of the website, and potentially in ACARS too.
It’s straightforward to visit your profile, edit it, and change the airline you align yourself with.
Discord is now available in ACARS
You can now flick the Discord switch in the ACARS settings, which will display rich information in your Discord user profile card about where you’re flying, and at what stage of the flight you are.
Is the legacy airline going away?
No. Lots of people still like using the legacy airline - while it’s popular, we’ll support it. We may re-brand it over time.
