Transmitter URLs are Changing
If you use Transmitter and LittleNavMap, you need to read this.
If you’ve been using Transmitter to keep track of group flights in LittleNavMap, this applies to you - please read it.
The URL to access the Transmitter data is changing. At the end of the year we will retire the existing URL, and replace it with a more descriptive URL.
The Old URL
The old URL to read data from Transmitter is/was as follows:
The New URLs
The new URL to use within LitttleNavMap is as follows:
If you use any software that uses the IVAO JSON format (such as FS-FlightControl) you can also use the following URL:
An added bonus for ATC
You can add ?group=xyz to the new URLs, which means LittleNavMap will only pull back aircraft that match the parameter passed in the URL. This relies on your friends inputting the same group name in their Transmitter client software.
e.g. https://virtualflight.online/whazzup_ivao?group=VirtualFlight.Online
If you don’t add the group parameter, all aircraft are returned.
What will happen when the old URL is removed?
If you still have LittleNavMap pointing at the old URL at the end of the year, it will no longer show any aircraft on the map.
As soon as you update the URL, it will start working again.
